Girls Circle is a program conducted at the Matt Garcia PAL Center serving girls ages 12-18. The program is a professionally facilitated, structured, weekly discussion that focuses on many themes important to the lives and issues facing young girls in our community. The goal of Girls Circle is to foster a sense of confidence and self-reliance among its participants. Organized around topical modules lasting 8-10 weeks, girls are guided through activities that help them focus their attention on relationships, attitudes, goals, hopes and fears. Some popular topics have been "Developing Positive Relationships," "Body Image," and "Friendships." Soroptimist of Central Solano County is proud to have this unique opportunity for direct and meaningful impact on the lives of teen girls, and to play a significant role in the development of their life skills and positive self images.
